CONDITIONS AND APPLICANCT’S ELIGIBILITY

Conditions and applicant’s eligibility are as follows:

a) Applicant's eligibility:
Settler or settler's replacement.
Settler's wife.
Settler's dependents i.e own children or step son/daughter who is not married yet on condition they are staying with the settler in the scheme.
b) Conditions:
No criminal records.
Doctor's confirmation on chronic diseases/purchase of equipment and authority's confirmation for natural disasters.
Submission of letter of confirmation on diseases and equipment aids from the government doctor.
One application form for one aid only.
One of the settler's family only eligible to receive aids within a year except cases which require approval of the fund committee members.

TYPES AND AMOUNT OF AIDS

Types and amount of aids provided through the Settler Welfare Aids Fund are as follows:

a. Chronic Diseases

i. Type of diseases eligible for aids:

Heart Disease
Coma
Cancer
Terminal Disease
Paralyse
Parkinson Disease
Tumor
HIV/AIDS Infection through Blood Transfusion
Stroke
Chronic Liver Disease
Kidney Failure
Chronic Lung Disease
Fulminant Hepatitis
Serious Head Injury due to Accidents
Main Organ Transplant
Aplastic Anemia
Blind, Deaf
Muscular Sistrophy
Aortic Surgery
Tumor Disease or Brain Surgery and or other chronic diseases considered suitable and approved by the Fund Committee.
Loss of Voice
Serious Burnts
Alzheimer Disease
 

ii. The amount of aids eligible to be approved not exceeding RM10,000 or the total costs of the medical treatment or whichever is less on condition that the Doctor's confirmation letter on the diseases suffered is submitted.

iii. The amount of aids is considered for follow-up treatment costs.

b. Natural Disaster Aids

Aids are given to settlers who face difficulties due to Fire, Floods, Earthquake, Land Slide, Heavy Wave/Tsunami and Strom with strong winds which cause damage to the houses and properties.
The amount of aids given to the victim of the natural disaster is a minimum of RM1,000 and not exceeding RM10,000 or whichever is reasonable according to the damage suffered by the victim on condition that the confirmation letter regarding total loss is submitted from the authority concerned such as police or Fire and Rescue Department or Scheme Manager.

C. Aids for Purchase of Equipment

Equipment aids eligible for application are wheelchair, Artificial Limbs and Orthopedics Equipment.
The amount of aids eligible for approval not exceeding RM5,000 based on the actual costs of purchase of equipment on condition that the quotation from the suppliers is endorsed by the doctor.
